Principal Moore

Greetings Roadrunner Families and Friends!

It is with great honor and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the Principal of Rymfire Elementary School. My passion for education and supporting the success of all students has been shaped through many of the relationships here at Rymfire Elementary School (RES).

After I earned my Bachelor of Science in Exceptional Student Education from Bethune-Cookman University, in 2004, I began my classroom career, in Volusia County Schools. In August 2008, I joined the Roadrunner family. It was here at Rymfire that I cultivated my passion for making a difference in the lives of others. I later earned a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Saint Leo University. In 2017, I accepted a position as a Curriculum Specialist for Flagler County Schools. In my career, I have made it my top priority to ensure that every student receives the most well-rounded education as possible and I am excited to bring that passion with me back to Rymfire Elementary School.

I am committed, and hope you will join me, to ensure that student needs and interests help shape instruction and extracurricular opportunities. My goal is to ensure that all students are healthy, happy and safe, so they may learn and grow.

Together we can make a difference, I need and want your support in making RES the best! My door is open and I encourage students, parents, teachers, staff, and community members to schedule time to meet with me to discuss the current practices of Rymfire Elementary School as well as ideas in order to improve our school practices.

Warm regards,

LaShakia Moore
