Don't let your child do the summer slide

Wednesday, May 17, 2017 - 3:08pm

Research says that students who do not read over the summer and participate in reading activities experience a summer slide.  This means that their reading skills decrease from lack of use.  In other words "they become rusty".  We don't want this to happen to any of our students who have worked so hard this year.  In order to support your child and encourage them to read over the summer we have created a list of activities you can do with them over the summer as well as a list of books they will enjoy reading.  Please enjoy and let us know how it goes!
